Melisss, whose real name is Melissa Henri, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Shawinigan.
Her father, a musician and illustrator, instilled in her a deep love for music and the visual arts.
Thus, she discovered an early passion for music, while drawing became a defining practice of her teenage years.

From then on, her creative journey enriched itself with a quest for expressiveness, particularly through portraiture.

Faithful to her early passions, she pursued four years of training in piano, classical singing, and flute, while also teaching herself guitar to accompany her voice.
At the same time, she developed a strong interest in psychology and began painting, broadening her creative vision.

In January 2020, a decisive turning point marked a key milestone in her journey: a transformative encounter with Steve Huard, a local painter whose unique approach and contagious passion brought new energy to her path.
Through a brief painting course, Huard instilled in her a fascination for the visual arts, but more importantly, a way of approaching creation as a dialogue with values, textures, and emotions.

This revelation, acting as a catalyst, inspired her to devote herself fully to her art.
She then fervently explored various techniques, infusing her canvases with a newfound dynamism, rich in contrasts and overlays.

As part of her immersion in the many facets of creation, Melissa used her recording studio to develop her own YouTube channel.
On this platform, she shares interpretations of cover songs that span a wide range of genres, techniques, and styles.
Her exploration of expressive storytelling also led her to create videos documenting the evolution of her paintings.
