Melissa Henri is a multidisciplinary artist based in Shawinigan. Her father, a musician and illustrator, instilled in her a deep love for music and the visual arts. Consequently, from a very young age, she was drawn to singing and drawing, with a particular focus on portrait art. Staying true to her early passions, she pursued a four-year education in piano and classical singing, as well as the flute, and learned the guitar to accompany her singing. Simultaneously, she developed a profound interest in psychology and painting.

Subsequently, Melissa used her recording studio to create her own YouTube channel. On this platform, she shares interpretations of musical covers spanning a wide range of genres, techniques, and styles.

These experiences and skills are then reinvested in the production of videos where she documents the evolution of her paintings, providing a perspective on her artistic process. Proactive in promoting her art, Melissa also develops a wide range of promotional tools, such as a website, business cards, and more.

With an insatiable curiosity and a characteristic open-mindedness, Melissa Henri offers her expertise in management, problem-solving, organizational skills, as well as her media knowledge, to contribute to the support and promotion of other artists, thereby participating in the cultural enrichment of her region and beyond.

Melissa Henri's works mirror her artistic journey: unique, diverse, following various currents, bold, colorful, and generous. Simply watching the videos showcasing the artist's creative process helps you understand that each painting is crafted like a piece of music, in harmony with a rhythm, an inner musicality. Thus, Melissa expresses herself through an ongoing search for movements, repetitions, and dynamic overlays, which simultaneously maintain thematic coherence in the artwork while bursting it into forms, gradients, textures, and colors always in contrast. This exploratory approach keeps a connection with reality while generating surprises, shocks, and deconstructions that enhance the impressionism of the resulting works.
